Welcome
I'll be honest. Most of my work has been for other people. I pay the bills through ghostwriting. (Mostly memoirs. You can check out my ghostwriting business at https://yourconfidentialghostwriter.com/.) But that doesn't mean I haven't spent some time on my own stuff. I've been fortunate to have had several articles and essays published, even some poetry. And a few of my ghostwriting clients have been amazing enough to offer to put my name on their books as co-author. Some of this work, you'll find on this site for your (hopefully!) reading pleasure.
Oh, and I'm also the author of Writing Memoir: The Practical Guide to Writing and Publishing the Story of Your Life.
Most recently, I've released another work of my own that is even nearer and dearer to my heart: So Who is God, Anyway?: An UNorthodox Theory for Doubters, Skeptics, and Recovering Fundamentalists. The book is the result of over thirty years of philosophical research into the existence and nature of God. Kirkus Reviews has called it "A well-written and convincing rumination on the divine," and Reader Views recommends that, "If there's one book on God to read this year, please make it 'So Who is God Anyway?' by G.S. Payne."
What else about me? Well, I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida and when I'm not writing I like to spend time on my sailboat, Pilar. I named her after Hemingway's fishing boat. I also enjoy movies and traveling. And when I travel, I seek out historic hotels (preferably haunted ones), and good Irish pubs. Most important of all, I'm a father and a grandfather.
In the meantime, thanks for visiting. Hope you enjoy the stie.
